Understanding the Lay of the Land
While the program’s building prototypes are similar, each project site is different. Our team works with local municipalities to obtain proper permits and entitlements, assist with necessary re-zonings and identify local variances, such as setbacks and driveway spacing. Working with the pre-selected site’s unique location and space constraints, the Gresham Smith project team completes the puzzle of drainage, utilities, parking, site access and stormwater management while keeping value engineering and sustainability practices in mind. For example, salvaging existing pavement when the opportunity presents itself saves the client time and money and is environmentally friendly.
Addressing Stormwater Concerns
If not managed properly, fluids such as motor oil, antifreeze and brake fluid can contaminate local water sources. We pay special attention to the sites’ stormwater infrastructure to comply with local stormwater management regulations.
