Gresham Smith, a top-ranked architecture and engineering firm is proud to announce that 20-year industry veteran, Scott MacMeekin, has joined the firm’s Life and Work Places market as a project executive in the firm’s Charlotte office.
“Scott’s extensive experience and relationships in the Charlotte market, coupled with his expertise in commercial building repositioning, are exactly what we need to grow our portfolio in the region,” said Don Reynolds, executive vice president of Gresham Smith’s Life and Work Places market.
MacMeekin’s two decades of project experience includes large-scale workplace, mixed-use, commercial office interiors and adaptive reuse. He joins Gresham Smith from Charlotte-based firm BB+M Architecture, where he developed and oversaw the workplace interiors practice area. Prior to his time at BB+M, MacMeekin led large-scale interior design projects at Gensler in Charlotte. His portfolio includes significant projects such as the Carson Station, an office building renovation in Charlotte, and the office component of Commonwealth, a mixed-use development in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood of Charlotte.

MacMeekin is an active member of International Interior Design Association, where he served as president of the Carolinas Chapter. At a global level, he served as the president of the Board of Directors of International Design Continuing Education Council and as the director of the Board of Directors for Council for Interior Design Qualification. He is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Interior Design.
