On Tuesday, December 10, Gresham Smith Healthcare Executive Vice President Jim Langlois, AIA, LEED AP, and Senior Healthcare Designer Jude Wessels, EDAC, participated in a Healthcare Acquired Infection Organization (HAIO) panel discussion focused on health system-wide planning and design strategies for infection control by incorporating freestanding emergency departments.
The panel was be moderated by John Messervy, AIA, director of design & construction at Mass General Brigham. Additional panelists include Newton-Wellesley Hospital Chief Nursing Officer Sandra Muse, Beth Israel Leahy Health Emergency Department Chair Calvin Bown, MD, and Wentworth Douglas Hospital President Darin Roark.
