Gresham Smith is proud to announce that Meredith Cebelak, Ph.D., P.E., will speak at the 2023 Transportation Research Board Annual Meeting that will be held in Washington, D.C. from Jan. 8 through Jan. 12. Cebelak will share insights on designing and implementing the I-24 MOTION test bed.
See below for a summary of the workshop.
Workshop 1008: Harness Emerging and Traditional Data for Analysis, Modeling, and Simulation, Panel 3: I-24 MOTION: Enabling traffic science through trajectories at scale
Presented by Meredith Cebelak, Ph.D., P.E., Tennessee TSM&O Department Leader at Gresham Smith, and Dan Work, Chancellor Faculty Fellow and Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Vanderbilt University on Sunday, January 8 at 9:00 AM ET.
This panel will explore the first-of-its-kind 4-mile test bed along I-24 in the Nashville-Davidson County Metro area. The I-24 MOTION testbed collects high-resolution data for testing advanced traffic management and automated vehicle technologies in real freeway traffic. Working alongside Vanderbilt, Cebelak led the I-24 MOTION test bed design for Gresham Smith.
