Gresham Smith is excited to announce that TSM&O expert Meredith Cebelak, Ph.D., P.E., was named to the board of ITS Texas at its 2023 annual meeting.
As a TSM&O leader at Gresham Smith, Cebelak has managed a number of innovative transportation projects, most notably I-24 MOTION, an award-winning, first-of-its-kind testbed recently opened by the Tennessee Department of Transportation that provides an environment for testing advanced traffic management and automated vehicle technologies in live traffic.
During the ITS Texas annual meeting, representatives from Gresham Smith also presented on three innovative projects, including:
- I-24 MOTION – an open testbed that provides a “MRI for traffic” by providing an environment for testing advanced traffic management and automated vehicle technologies in real freeway traffic.
- MPATH: Empathic Analytics by Gresham Smith – a revolutionary, patented approach that quantifies how people experience places and allows planners to create transportation systems that better resonate with users.
- Move Metairie Tracking Forward – a new mobility application that residents can use to plan their routes around busy railway lines.

In recent years, Gresham Smith has expanded its presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and contributed to a number of key projects, including the bicycle system plan update for the City of Dallas, a series of wastewater and stormwater projects for the City of Dallas Department of Water Utilities, the City of Ennis’ Downtown Master Plan, alley reconstructions for the City of Carrollton and intersection improvements for the City of Fort Worth.
