Gresham Smith’s Building Engineering Market Welcomes Charles Alexander as New Project Executive in Orlando

Alexander to focus on developing consulting services in the Florida Region

Gresham Smith is excited to announce that Charles Alexander, P.E., has joined the firm’s Building Engineering team in Orlando, Florida, as a project executive. As an engineer with over 30 years of experience in the electrical maintenance, design and construction industry, Alexander’s career also includes nearly a decade in the electrical contracting sector, with a significant emphasis on the healthcare industry.

As a project executive, Alexander will focus on the growth and development of consulting services, primarily within the Florida region. In particular, he will work to grow prime consulting services for Gresham Smith’s engineering practice and will provide overall design consulting for the Healthcare market.

Most recently serving as the Healthcare Market Sector Leader at EXP, Inc., Alexander has specialized in healthcare projects in Florida, becoming a leading expert in coordinating with the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). His extensive portfolio includes managing hundreds of AHCA projects, from imaging replacements to comprehensive greenfield hospital developments. In addition to his professional work, he is an active member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE), the Florida Healthcare Engineering Association (FHEA), and the Association of Medical Facility Professionals (AMFP).

Alexander holds bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering, computer engineering, and physics from Cleveland State University.
