Gresham Smith Welcomes Ryan Lakes to Chicago Healthcare Studio

Senior Architect Brings Nearly 20 Years of Experience on Healthcare and Mixed-Use Multi-Family Projects

Gresham Smith is proud to announce that Ryan Lakes, AIA, has joined the firm’s Healthcare market in Chicago as a senior architect.

Lakes brings nearly 20 years of experience designing, coordinating and managing high-rise healthcare and mixed-use multi-family projects. His notable project work includes the 23-story Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, and Elevate, a 191-unit mixed-use luxury residential high-rise in Lincoln Park.

Lakes is active in multiple industry and community organizations. He’s a member of AIA Chicago and Lambda Alpha International’s Ely Chapter. Lakes is also on the Board of Directors for West Town Bikes, serves as his ward’s representative for Urban Environmentalists of Illinois, and is on the Active Transportation Alliance’s Advisory Council. He is a graduate of Ball State University where he earned a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Science.
