Gresham Smith is proud to announce that at the 2022 South Florida International Interior Design Association (IIDA) BRAGG Awards Gala, Interior Designer Alexis Moore, NCIDQ, IIDA, won the Star of the Year Award, and the firm’s interior design for the Flagler Health+ Durbin Park Hospital and Baptist Health South Florida Doral Hospital were honored with design awards in various categories.
“As interior designers, we play a powerful role in supporting the healing experience of patients, staff and family members,” said Moore. “I am humbled to have received the Star of the Year Award, but overjoyed that our firm has been recognized for our dedication to intuitive interior design strategies. With every project, we aim to support the communities we serve.”
Honored with the Best Healthcare Commissioned Project Award, the Flagler Health+ Durbin Park Hospital will feature a nature-centric interior design once completed. An organic pattern on the floor, soft hues of blue and a two-story feature wall that resembles tree branches reflect the nature reserve located on site.
The Baptist Health South Florida Doral Hospital was honored with the Best Healthcare Small Project Award. Opened in October 2021, the interior design incorporates Baptist Health’s evolving brand with lively accent colors and natural accents that represent South Florida flair.
The Star of the Year Award is given to an IIDA member who has gone above and beyond to advance the interior design profession and whose contributions serve as a beacon for the design community.
The IIDA South Florida annual BRAGG Awards Gala honors members and local firms in the interior design professional. The South Florida chapter is part of IIDA, a nationwide association for the commercial interior design industry, providing resources to professionals and students in the industry and their clients to advance the profession and enhance business value.
