We are pleased to announce that one of our Healthcare projects was recognized at the 2023 American Institute of Architects (AIA) Miami Design Awards Celebration on October 6.
The UHT Main Entry Lobby Addition and Renovation project won the Citation Award of Excellence for Unbuilt Projects. The renovation offers a unique opportunity to transform an existing hospital into a more efficient and recognizable facility by activating the site at ground floor level. With a new pedestrian and vehicular approach, as well as the revitalization of existing interior spaces, the new two-story lobby addition provides a defined pathway for patients and staff. Additionally, the modern design with a large canopy creates a sense of arrival with a hospitable atmosphere, giving the building’s entry a welcoming presence and clear identity.
The annual AIA Miami Design Awards intend to encourage excellence in architecture, elevate public consciousness of good design, and recognize those architects whose work enriches our environment. These awards recognize outstanding architectural projects, both built and unbuilt, that exemplify excellence in design while exploring nature and science of the profession.
