In his role as market vice president of Transportation at Gresham Smith, Jim Brannon is responsible for managing the day-to-day business operations of the Transportation market, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our clients while meeting key business metrics.
A professional engineer, Jim has more than 35 years of experience in personnel leadership, project management and the oversight of business operations. He brings extensive design, construction management and project controls expertise to the role. Throughout his tenure at Gresham Smith, Jim has been instrumental in the development and execution of strategic plans, which have played a pivotal role in driving substantial growth within the firm’s Transportation business. This growth has resulted in increased revenue and profitability, while also broadening the firm’s client base.
Prior to his current role, Jim served as senior vice president of Transportation at Gresham Smith, overseeing all operations of the Kentucky market, including the nationally acclaimed Pleasant Valley Road project. Before joining the firm, he worked in both the private and public sectors, including 25 years at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, where he contributed his expertise to transportation design projects throughout Kentucky. In the private sector, Jim served as lead engineer for the award-winning Cincinnati Streetcar.
