Jennie Lynn Rudder Joins Gresham Smith as Project Executive in Atlanta

Seasoned Landscape Architect and Urban Designer to Lead Market Growth

Gresham Smith is proud to announce that Jennie Lynn Rudder has joined the firm’s Land Planning market as a project executive in the firm’s landscape architecture and civil engineering practice. She is based in the firm’s Midtown Atlanta, Georgia office.

With over two decades of professional practice knowledge and experience in landscape architecture, planning and urban design, Jennie Lynn brings a unique and multidisciplinary perspective. In her role, she will drive the growth of the firm’s portfolio in Atlanta, leading business development strategies and advancing project design solutions.

Before joining Gresham Smith, Jennie Lynn held senior positions at Starr Whitehouse Landscape Architects and Planners and Dix.Hite + Associates, both in Atlanta. She oversaw office expansions and led multidisciplinary teams, approaching every project with resiliency and equity as a priority. Her portfolio spans several regions and typologies, including resilient urban landscapes, mixed-use and multifamily sites, master plans, greenways and trails, on-structure spaces, streetscapes, and stormwater parks, such as:

Jennie Lynn holds a master’s degree in urban design from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from the University of Georgia, where she formerly served as the President of the College of Environment + Design Alumni Association. She actively engages with Urban Land Institute (ULI), contributing as a graduate from the Center for Leadership, a panelist on Technical Assistance Panels, and currently serving as an mTAP advisor for the ongoing Center for Leadership class. She is also an active member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and spoke at the Southeast Regional Conference in 2023. Outside of the office, Jennie Lynn volunteers with Park Pride and Trees Atlanta.
