Kalpana Mohanraj Grows Gresham Smith’s Healthcare Practice in Denver

Industry Veteran Will Expand Regional Opportunities and Enhance Firm’s Service Offerings

Gresham Smith is excited to announce that Kalpana Mohanraj, AIA, LEED AP, has joined the firm as a project executive and strategy leader in the firm’s Healthcare studio. She will be based in the firm’s Denver, Colorado office.

Mohanraj brings more than 24 years of experience in design, business development, client relations and leadership, which she will use to develop relationships and continue enhancing the quality of healthcare services Gresham Smith offers in the region. Additionally, using her knowledge and experience from working across multiple market sectors, she will focus on strategically growing the firm’s expertise in designing non-traditional sites of care.

Her extensive experience managing complex projects, as well as her deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities our clients are facing, will help drive our practice forward,” said Executive Vice President of Healthcare Jim Langlois.

Prior to joining Gresham Smith, Mohanraj most recently served as the principal of BSA LifeStructures’ Denver Healthcare practice. While there, she led teams to deliver numerous projects, including medical center renovations and expansions and new outpatient clinics, for University of Colorado Health. Her project portfolio also includes work for Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, Banner Health and Denver-based Eating Recovery Center.

Embodying Gresham Smith’s commitment to community, Mohanraj serves on Ronald McDonald House Charities of Denver’s Board of Directors and on the Board of Trustees for Sri Venkateswara Temple of Colorado. She also participates in Denver Public Schools’ mentoring program for high school seniors exploring a future in design and construction. After earning a Bachelor of Architecture from India’s Anna University, Mohanraj graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee with a Master of Architecture.
