Delivering Federal Grant Dollars for Our Clients

Gresham Smith has a long track record of success of developing and winning federal discretionary funding for a variety of client types, ranging from local municipalities to state departments of transportation and utility providers. We have partnered with our clients on proposals for a number of federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Transportation and Homeland Security to name a few. To date, we have won over $300 million in federal grants on behalf of our clients, and we have secured funding on about one-third of all proposals, much higher than the industry average.

Navigating different funding sources, or even knowing they exist and are applicable requires significant research and coordination. We have supported clients in both finding and applying for grants to fund multiple projects throughout the Southeast. We have secured funding for clients a variety of sources, including the Congestion Mitigation Air Quality Program, Competitive Highway Bridge Grants and TIGER/BUILD/RAISE, and we are continuously adding new expertise as the federal grant system evolves with the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. We manage each grant proposal differently based on the needs of our client, and we offer a full range of services, including program management and prioritization, quality control, research, letters of support, and benefit-cost analysis.
