“With over a decade of experience in civil engineering, particularly in stormwater management, Becky brings a wealth of expertise and a robust skill set to Gresham Smith,” said Water + Environment Senior Engineer, Justin Avent, P.E. “Her extensive experience will be invaluable to our work with both new and future clients. We are thrilled to welcome a leader of such caliber to our growing team.”

Before joining Gresham Smith, Higgins served as the stormwater practice leader at Arcadis, where she acted as the subject matter expert for the drainage design of large-scale transportation projects with GDOT, NCDOT, and TDOT.
Higgins is a professional engineer licensed in Illinois, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, and Texas. She is a Certified Floodplain Manager through the Association of Floodplain Managers (ASFPM), is Level II and III certified in erosion and sediment control, and also holds several TXDOT precertifications for hydrology and hydraulics. “Gresham Smith’s exceptional reputation for both outstanding work and a positive company culture precedes them, and it motivates me to come to work each day eager to collaborate with the talented individuals who have helped build that reputation,” said Higgins. “I look forward to the continued opportunities for growth and collaboration in the future, while getting to contribute to impactful projects and expanding my expertise in stormwater management.”
