The Fulton County Department of Public Works (DPW) has selected Gresham Smith to provide a wide range of engineering services to support water and wastewater infrastructure with a 3– year contract, continuing a long-standing working relationship. Beginning in 2025, the firm will provide services under the new contract and collaborate with DPW on addressing water and wastewater needs and assist in addressing  challenges, which include increasing cost of materials and construction which leads to escalating cost of projects, aging infrastructure requiring urgent attention to prevent failures, and the continued growth within the County placing strain on the existing water and wastewater systems.

Various project scopes include water and wastewater pipelines, pump stations, improvements to water reclamation facilities, planning, permitting, and providing manpower and assistance to County staff as needed. Services may include preparation of reports, technical memoranda, studies, plans, drawings, and specifications for construction and improvements to Fulton County’s water distribution system and wastewater collection system.
